Counting my Blessings

Source unknown

In the midst of how crazy busy it’s been, I find myself with a few minutes to spare and much to be thankful for and I just feel the need to list them down.

What a far cry this place is from last year. So many things has happened in the last 350 something days that I just have to stop and express gratitude. A few blessings on my list:

  1. This year, I have a new job in a work environment where I am thriving and growing. I am grateful to have been able to re-enter the work force and do something that I love but also have time to pursue other things. This has been a tremendous blessing.
  2. I got to see my family this summer, and I’ll see them again for the holidays! I’m also very excited to give all our gifts. I love gift giving! It’s one of my love languages:D
  3. Plus my parents came to visit me! (Will have to snag some photos from my dad’s camera to post soon.)
  4. My art and creativity has grown infinitely. I’ve learned so many new things awesome things this year. That deserves another post all its own!
  5. My marriage has grown better and stronger. We have learned so much about being together. We also fight less and clean up more.
  6. I have had eggnog for the first time and I am addicted.:D
  7. I have made new friends and I am building stronger relationships with old ones. The Bay Area no longer feels as lonely:).
  8. We have found a church that we feel we can relate to and that we can grow with. I can’t even count the number of churches we’ve attended until we found one that we were comfortable with.
  9. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
In the meantime, I have been a very busy elf with packing, baking, and Christmas shopping. Not quite as much creating as I’d like but I’m just happy to be picking up pencils again. I know this holiday season is going to whiz by and I’m super excited by what’s ahead. But also very thankful for the present. (Apparently, that’s why it’s called a GIFT. Pun intended!) And now this elf is going back to her eggnog and baking. Hope you’re all having as awesome a holiday season as I am!

special holiday orders:D
